I totally agree. Most authors are just like;

‘Minho woke up to a nauseous feeling in his stomach; it couldn’t be what he thinks it could be, could it? Did he get pregnant because his boyfriend didn’t use a condom? He had to take a test.’

That’s usually okay, but it’s much better if people get more in depth with their reasons for it instead of just making it happen like that.

Is this person from South Korea or from some other part of the world? If they are from South Korea then no I don’t think it is possible. 

Now that person might not be interested in the idols, but they probably do know about them. Idols and Kpop are a big part of life in South Korea, so that person would have to know about it.
